→ STEP 1 — CHOOSE YOUR STARTING POINT Start with 1/4 to 1/2 troche. Each troche is scored for easy splitting. Your optimal dose is personal — start low and adjust.

→ STEP 2 — FIND THE SWEET SPOT Place the troche between your gum and upper cheek. Alternatively, MB is highly bioavailable and can be swallowed on an empty stomach.

→ STEP 3 — PATIENCE IS KEY Buccal absorption: onset 15–20 minutes. Swallowed on empty stomach: onset 60–90 minutes.

→ STEP 4 — FEEL THE SHIFT Methylene blue works at the mitochondrial level. The effect is clean and sustained — not a spike.

Consult your healthcare provider before use if you take any of the following:

1. SSRI or SNRI medications — at our dosing, serious interaction is rare and many clinicians use MB alongside these medications, but only under close supervision.
2. Antipsychotics

CONTRAINDICATIONS — Do not use if you are:

1. Pregnant or breastfeeding
2. Have hepatic or renal impairment
3. Have any known sensitivity to methylene blue or thiazine dye 
   

POSSIBLE SIDE EFFECTS:

1. Blue urine — methylene blue concentrates in urine. This is benign.
2. Blue tongue and teeth — also benign. May last up to 6 hours or occasionally longer. DO NOT use as a buccal troche if you have plastic veneers or non-porcelain dental appliances. Consult your dentist with any concerns.
3. Elevated blood pressure — if you have hypertension or prehypertension and are on medications, do NOT take MB without close supervision.
4. Mild headache — typically resolves after the first few doses. If it persists, reduce your dose or consult your provider.
5. Numbness or tingling of tongue or cheek — caused by the peppermint. If this occurs, swallow the troche on an empty stomach instead of buccal absorption.
6. Note on high doses — doses exceeding 1mg/kg (significantly higher than our formula) can lead to GI biofilm disruption, oxidative stress, and gastric ulceration. Our formula is well below this threshold.
