A Modern Body Needs a Methylated Multivitamin. Here's Why.

Fatigue, chronic pain, and "normal" labs that still don't feel right aren't a personal failure, they're a modern problem. Here's why daily nutrient support belongs alongside sleep, hydration, and movement, and why the Foundational NCPak was built to fill that gap.

A Modern Body Needs a Methylated Multivitamin. Here's Why.

Chronic pain, fatigue, and nutrient depletion aren't a personal failure. They're a modern problem, and modern problems need modern solutions.

Most of the people who come to us for help with their health aren’t dealing with one obvious symptom. They're dealing with a stack: fatigue that coffee stopped fixing years ago, joint or back pain that showed up without an injury to explain it, labs that come back "normal" while they still feel like something's off. And almost every one of them can’t quite pinpoint how they woke up here.

That's the part that surprises people. This isn't happening because anyone stopped trying, or they don’t have enough willpower. It's a modern issue that we just haven’t collectively caught up with.

We have soil that's been farmed hard for decades and has less to give the plants growing in it than it did fifty years ago. Animals raised in unnatural, high-density settings produce meat, milk, and eggs with a different nutrient profile than the same animals raised the way they used to be.

We also see chronic pain, especially in the back and joints, driven not by injury but by how little most of us move in a given day. Bodies built to walk, carry, bend, and lift all day are instead sitting for most of their waking hours, and pain is often what shows up when a body stops being used the way it was designed to be used. It's the same root problem as the nutrient side: a modern lifestyle asking a body to function in conditions it was never built for.

In the last 100 years we've added things our bodies never had to process before. Since the industrial revolution, over 100,000 new synthetic compounds have entered daily life that simply didn't exist for the vast majority of human history. Our biology hasn't caught up. It hasn't had time to.

None of us were able to see these changes coming, or the effects they would have on our health.

These environmental evolutions in our lifestyles aren’t all, though. Our systems in society have shifted as well.

Show me the incentive, and I'll show you the outcome

I'm no conspiracy theorist, and I mean that. But run the numbers and it's hard to argue with the shape of them. We spend $5.3 trillion a year on healthcare in this country, and 40 cents of every tax dollar. Ninety percent of those 40 cents goes toward managing chronic disease, much of which is preventable.

Pharmacies across the country have increasingly become checkout counters for chronic disease, dispensing more prescriptions to manage what was never caught early enough to prevent in the first place. Big pharma has an incentive to dispense. Big insurance has an incentive to not pay out.

That's a system without incentive to catch warning signs early, or promote proactive health. Standard labs, run once a year and flagged only when they're already outside normal range, lead to substandard results: watch it, watch what you eat, see you next year. Health can, and does chronically decline, relatively unnoticed for years, or decades simply because there are no large incentives to do so.

No one tried to get us into this tricky situation. It's collateral damage from how the incentives are built, and it’s a modern problem with real consequences for us living in it.

Most of us don't want to trade back to life the way it was, either. Nobody's volunteering to hunt their own food, give up their temperature controlled homes and cars, or return to a life of constant physical labor to escape this. We like the modern world. We just haven't caught up to what it costs us yet. Because we live in such a synthetic environment, we sometimes need synthetic solutions to match it. That's not a compromise. That's just intelligence.

There’s No Villain In This Story

We're not interested in pointing fingers at big pharma, the food system, or the government, and spending energy there won't move your own numbers. All any of us can actually do is take ownership of our own health and find information we can trust, ideally from people who make it simple enough to act on.

One of my favorite lines on this: a healthy person has a thousand dreams. An unhealthy person only has one. Every foundational habit, and every foundational product, exists to protect the version of you with a thousand dreams still in front of them. That’s what we want for you.

What foundational care actually looks like

Diet. Exercise. Sleep. Stress Management. Those are the boring things that will never stop being true, and they always come first. No supplement, no matter how well formulated, replaces any of them.

But foundational care has a modern fifth piece that gets left out of that list more often than it should: consistent, daily nutrient support that closes the gap between what food used to provide and what it provides now. It belongs in the same category as sleep and movement, a basic input your body needs every day to run its systems correctly. This is where something like THE WORKS earns its place, not as an add-on for people who are already doing everything right, but as one of the foundational five.

Where the Foundational NCPak fits

Correcting one deficiency almost always uncovers another. If you've ever tried to build this out yourself, you know how it goes: a bottle for the one thing you're worried about, then a second because the first doesn't absorb well alone, then a mineral, a B vitamin, something for energy, each one making sense on its own at the time. A year in, you've got fifteen bottles on the counter and a new round of labs still turns up something you never thought to cover.

Easton’s Foundational NCPak was built to replace that guesswork with one system: three products, split into a simple morning and evening pouch, covering the ground that actually matters.

THE WORKS is the core: a fully methylated multivitamin, the equivalent of six or seven separate supplements in two capsules a day. It's built around 5,000 IU of vitamin D3 paired with K2, a full spectrum of methylated B vitamins, and therapeutic doses of zinc, chromium, and mitochondrial support, all dosed to actually matter instead of watered down to fit everything into one capsule.

OptiOmega 3X covers what THE WORKS leaves out on purpose: a therapeutic dose of EPA and DHA, delivered the way omega-3s are meant to be delivered, in oil, not crammed into a multivitamin tablet.

Mag Chelate covers the other piece: a real, full dose of well-tolerated magnesium, one of the most commonly depleted minerals in adults under chronic stress, in a form your body can actually absorb.

Together, the three cover what would otherwise take six or seven separate bottles, each dosed at a level that matters.

The reason this matters more than "more energy" or "better labs" is what's happening underneath both of those things. This level of nutrient support works on your mitochondria and your cell membranes, making cells more flexible and buoyant so they can actually do their jobs. That cellular health is the floor everything else stands on: digestion, detox, hormone signaling, immune response. You don't feel your mitochondria working. You feel everything downstream of them working, or not.

And to be clear about what this is and isn't: this is not a fix-everything protocol, and it's not meant to be taken on faith alone forever. Three months in, test for yourself and find out. If the outputs aren’t reflective of your inputs, stop taking it and talk to us. That's how anything trustworthy should be offered, and that’s our standard.

Proof the foundations work, given enough time

A woman who'd just finished our first RECLAIM90 cohort, a 90-day program built around functional labs, targeted supplementation, and weekly coaching, booked a follow-up consultation convinced she'd fallen off the wagon. Here's what "falling off the wagon" looked like in her labs. In 83 days, her fasting glucose went from 121 to 99. Her fasting insulin dropped from 11.6 to 5.5. Her A1C moved from 6.6 to 5.6, which by standard definitions took her from diabetic to not even pre-diabetic. Her CRP came down, meaning less inflammation. Her kidney function improved. Triglycerides dropped. HDL (“good cholesterol”) went up.

She felt defeated because not every number landed in an optimal range in under three months. But optimal isn't an instant, it's something built and maintained, especially when we're scoring against optimal levels instead of the wider, more forgiving "average for the population" range most labs are graded against. It likely took years to arrive at her starting labs. Three months of consistent foundational work isn't failure. It's the process actually working. And it’s possible for you, too. We exist to bring you solutions, and have been delivering them to our community for years already.

Where You Can Start

This all starts with actually measuring where you are. Our REFOCUS30 masterclass, inside the North Century app, pairs a full panel of functional labs with thirty short lessons on how to build sustainable health habits, confront the "why" behind what's stalled in your health and habits, set goals that actually hold, and face avoidance head-on. Then lock yourself in through consistency, self-measurement, and mindset shifts.

The Foundational NCPak tends to fit three kinds of people from there. (1) Those who want to take as few capsules as possible and just need a core they can trust. (2) Those who feel overwhelmed by supplement choices, or don't take anything at all because they don't know where to start, this is where to start. And (3) those who are already optimizing their health and not just checking a box.

If you've never had bloodwork done, or haven't looked at it in years, it’s always great to run your labs first. But if you already know you're running on empty in ways you can't quite name, the Foundational NCPak is built to be the daily floor underneath everything else you're doing right.
