It works in 3 phases. Phase 1 is bioactivation. It creates a reactive site on the toxins for water solubility. Phase 2 is conjugation. The toxins become water soluble. Then comes Phase 3, which is transport. The water soluble toxins move to the kidneys or the bowel and are filtered out of the body.
